There are many different activities in Lausanne for students to do. With the city being situated alongside lake Geneva, just the simple beauty is something to admire. There are also many different areas to been seen in the city. There is plenty of sport also to be watched with Lausanne having many different sports teams. We have given a few ideas for the students below.
Sport- The first lot of activities in Lausanne to do would be to watch the sport that is going on in Lausanne. Many different clubs for people to get involved in, but also sports clubs to go and watch games. Of course in the summer when the weather has improved, or if you do fancy swimming in the cold water, there is always the possibility to go swimming in the lake.
Football-In Lausanne there is multiple football teams that can be watched, but also clubs that are not too far away also to be watched in different cities surrounding Lausanne. The biggest football team in Lausanne is FC Lausanne-Sport, there is also FC Stade Lausanne-Ouchy. Ice Hockey– Ice hockey along with football is one of the main sports in Switzerland. The Lausanne HC team play in the first league. They are one of the most watched and supported teams in Lausanne. And with their new stadium having been opened not too long ago it really is worth going and watching them.

Athletics- Lausanne also hosts a diamond league event each year. This will be held during the summer. Many different elite athletes will come and take part in this event. This would be a great opportunity to come and watch .a great event in Lausanne.

Olympic Museum- With Lausanne being the Olympic capital, there is of course the olympic museum. This museum shows the history of the Olympics. There are different activities within the museum to take part in, to test yourself against professional athletes. General Activities- There is also other activities which can be done such as take the boat over the lake to France and explore the city of Evian. It is a simple 30 minute trip with the boat across the lake. It is a great opportunity to visit a new city and of course a new country.
