Swiss Students
It is also important to note that a lot of Swiss students live at home when studying. So some students will be traveling from very far afield. Therefore having accommodation near to friends can always be a bit complicated. As of course the Swiss students will be scattered all around Lausanne.
On the other hand, a lot of the institutes in Lausanne tend to all be based in one area. Of course this allows for a student base to be created., even if the students do live all over Lausanne. In turn, allowing for many different students to integrate together from the different institutes. This will also mean, that there is of course a lot of public transport coming into this area from all over Lausanne. This means even if you are not right next to where you study, you can easily access your courses.
