Once the student has arrived at their apartment, we will help the student find themselves around the local area and city.
This will mean giving them the key pieces of information, such as showing them where the local supermarkets are, but also giving them more information on the particular supermarkets in terms of prices and more.
Most apartments in Switzerland do not have a washing machine for each apartment. Therefore the student will be required to share with the other people living in the building. We understand that sometimes to only be able to use the washing machine once a week is not enough. Therefore we will show the student where they can easily find a laundrette that they can use.
Another piece of key information will be to provide them with the right information in terms of where public transport is. This will also include providing details as where to be able to buy their bus and metro pass from. Showing the student where the train station is based, will also be crucial information for getting out of Lausanne and for when friends and family come to visit.
Another important piece of information which will be highly important, is showing the students to local phone dealerships, this will allow for the students to have a phone contract for Switzerland.
Another contract that the student will need to sort out will be their internet package. We will help the student also set this up for their apartment.
